UX design — Token Generation System
Overview
Token Generation System project is based on the institution's structure, which helps reduce the waiting time of student time and reduce the work stress to faculty or higher authorities. This system helps in reducing the usage of paper and can be done in complete digitalization.
An indoor Navigation System is used to find a particular location in a large area, which helps in Navigating to a particular office or a cabin without anybody’s help, also we can find the list of faculty members and their cabin numbers to meet them.
Problem
- Students can’t get access to their higher authorities.
- Students have to lose classes because of long waiting hours.
- The work pressure is a particular faculty that makes work delay.
- There are more cabins, so students can’t find their cabin in a short time.
- More wastage of paper for letters and permission letters.
Desk Research
We have discussed mainly the process that students going through while they want to meet the higher authorities and the process that we have to include to work on this project more efficiently and what are the different outcomes and solutions that we get and different alternatives to solve the problem.

Analyzing problem
- Total number of faculty in university (APPROX = 1000+)
- Total number of students (APPROX = 20000+)
- Total number of faculty in each department (APPROX = 100+)
- Total number of visitors for HOD per day (APPROX = 100+)
User interview process
Pain points based
- We asked questions related to the waiting near the HOD cabin and by implementing a token system how they get the problem solved.
- The user can navigate without any navigation system so we asked some of the vistos about their problem and implemented an indoor navigation system.
Task-based
- To analyze the schedule that is given by HOD.
- To understand the users in perspective in solving their problem.
- To understand various tasks performed by the user.
Value-based
- we asked and understood the thought process in the implementation of solving the problem
- The users can understand the process of navigation and token system because of the well-designed interface.

Design Strategy
- This application is designed to reduce waiting time outside the HOD cabin
- The students can book their slots according to their schedule.
- This helps in students concentration on classes
- The application is designed in such a way that there will be notified if the HOD is inside the cabin.
- The schedule is designed in such a way that every problem will be solved in time.
